How do I configure TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress to convert a DVD video (from disc) to a single mpeg-2 (or mpeg-1) file with no/minimal conversion? I want the method that produces the fastest results. I just need the single mpeg file so that I can then run PSP Video 9 to produce an mpeg-4 file for loading onto my PSP. Thanks. _________________ chudan gyakusuki |

TMPGEnc is a MPEG encoder. What you need is a DVD ripper, that will open the VOB files on the DVD and extract (one of) the MPEG stream(s) into a MPEG file. This will not involve any recompression. You can find several guides and links to free tools on videohelp.com.

Some useful guides there. I already have the necessary software and can get started right away. Thanks. _________________ chudan gyakusuki |
