All the dvds i've created looks Ok when i watch in my dvd player of the television, but when i watch on the computer there's always those black bars in the sides.

There is a way to encode the video the same as it look on the TV ?

If the DVD looks good on TV, then it's probably correctly encoded. The problem may lie in your software DVD player. Which player are you using?

Also, what is your source video format, which encoder are you using, and with what settings?

I encode with TMPGenc Plus and i use DVD lab pro for authoring.

I use the same settings are in the website, but i use Center.

The source is a xvid/divx .avi file

Ah i forgot, i use Power DVD to watch in the computer

Well, if you use "center", the image is not stretched to fill the screen. So, if the original file is not the full resolution (720x576 for PAL or 720x480 for NTSC), you will get black bars on the sides (and possibly also at the top and bottom).

If the source is 704xN, you can create a 704xN DVD (it's also a "legal" resolution). If it's smaller, you'll have to stretch it to full screen.

The source avi is 640x480
When i use full screen the subtitle (already encoded with the video) doenst appear on the TV, its strechs in a way that the subs dont show completely right

Well, if the subtitles are part of the image, it would be kind of hard to stretch the image without stretching the subtitles, wouldn't it?

You can always try buying the original DVD instead of downloading pirate copies off the internet.
