DVD Maesto hands down for me. It offers a wide range of configurations, and the learning curve is not as steep as say, Pinnacles.

Although I am VERY interested in checking out Adobe's new Encore DVD package when it comes out.

For one it will integrate with all of their other software packages, and in my opinion, Adobe means quality.

I have never used an Adobe program that didn't do everything it said it could do, and more. Some take more time to learn than others, but all are grade A products.

You can check it out @ http://www.adobe.com/products/encore/main.html

Should be out in August, according to website info.

I am licking my lips, as we speak.

Craig

Using a combination here.
TMPGEnc plus for MPEG-2 video files (M2V)
Adobe Encore DVD 1.01 for DVD-Video Authoring
TMPGEnc DVD for DVD-Video that has DTS Audio included
Minnetonka DiscWelder Chrome for DVD-Audio
SurCode MLP for DVD-Audio file compression
SurCode DTS DVD for DTS encoding in the DVD-Video set
Steinberg Nuendo Dolby Digital Encoder for , well, Dolby Digital Encoding
Sony Vegas 4.0E for editing the video files (Premiere Pro does not like my soundcard, amongst a lot of other issues!
Nuendo 1.61 for Dolby Digital & ProLogic Audio encoding
Nuendo 2.10 for all other audio tasks.

Whew!

Encore is very good indeed. I love it to death. Only issues I have with it is no DTS import, and you cannot - as yet - import timelines from other Encore sessions. Still, for a version 1 release it is awesome. By the time it gets up to version 3 then Sonic had better be prepared to lose a lot of their market for Scenarist, too. Yes, I know scenarist is better, but IMO this probably won't last.
Never got on with DVDit PE, Dazzle, Spruce or any of the other apps. Go for Encore.

I can now add another app to this list.
Media Chance Labs "DVD Lab Pro".
It's $199, and has almost everything you could want. The sole exception is DLT support at the moment.
Everything else is there, including full access to all GPRM/SPRM scripting, the whole lot.
There is also a 30 day version of this too:
