After making a DVD with DVDit! 2.5 PE the disc looks great and everything works. But when I play this on the set-top player there is no information about chapters and there is no indication of the time into the movie. Any help? Thanks. -Morgan

This is caused by the authoring program. I think discs created with DVDit will only show the counter if they have a single title. Sonic's user forums seem to be down, so the best place to get information about this is probably Sonic Online.

Thanks for the info Rui. I checked the Sonic page and it is just as you described, also for MyDVD. I think it is a real shortcoming of these programs. What's more, I tried it with just one file and the counter still doesn't appear. So I will move on and try Encore DVD.

Thanks also for your excellent guides on TMPGEnc and on frameserving from Premiere. From these and the discussions on this forum I have learned so much and have had many of my questions answered. And the whole site is attactive and nicely arranged. -Morgan

DVDit (and MyDVD) are what I call masochistware. You're better off programming your DVDs by hand with a hex editor. Smile

BTW, this site started its life in the MyDVD forums, as described here.
