Usually I see 720x480 for the dimensions for NTSC pictures. But sometimes I see 720x486, for instance in settings in Premiere when you specify "force 4:3". What is the difference and when should each be used? Thanks! -Morgan |

For editing, you should always use the native resolution of your video capture card. If your card is DV and you're editing in NTSC, this is 720x480 (just select the NTSC DV preset in Premiere). DVD resolution is the same as DV (720x480 for NTSC, 720x576 for PAL).
