I successfully downloaded a DivX 3 movie that completely converted from a dat to an avi file. All looked good. It plays well as an avi with a variety of players, but when I go to convert it to an SVCD Mpeg2 TMPEg Encoder 2.5 tells me the "ACM will not initialize"

I demuxed the audio into a standard PCM wav file and streamed both, but with the same result. I used a second machine with the same software with the same result.

MainConcept worked well, but only encoded about a 3rd of the movie. Un fortunately Main Concept does not have TMPeg's ability to edit the stream before encoding. So I could not split and rejoin later.

I suspect that this is an audio issue, but I do not know what the "ACM" means or how to resolve

Any suggested solutions will be appreciated

Thank you
