hello every one,
I new to this .... and I need help with my video

I need to capture video from my fluoroscopy machine (x-ray in motion) and put it on a CD or a DVD to give to my patients.

My goals are to make a menu and to keep most of the detail as possible (because the details are critical for me to keep ... for the diagnosis). and I don't want to take all day to make these small video because I can have many video like this to make in one day.

My video are about 1-2 min long with no audio

I am using :

- Premiere 6.0
- my source is : a b/w security camera with an analogue input
- I am using the Matrox RT2000 card
- I want to burn them using nero xpress

What is the video format that I should use, the compression etc

Thank you
Stephane

If you're not too concerned about the quality (the original is probably not brilliant to begin with), capture directly to MPEG-2, at a bitrate of 8000 or less (making sure the other settings are also DVD-compliant).

BTW, why is your source a security camera? Doesn't the fluoroscopy machine have a video output? I was under the impression that most did.

Yes the quality is a big concerned for us and for the fluoroscopy camera... it is a security camera that they put in a black chamber to be able to capture the x-ray. Because it is an analogue signal we can save it on a VCR tape (take a lot of room space Wink) or capture it with my matrox RT2000

I will try the 8000 bitrate and the MPEG2 (direct)

If you have other idea in the mean time let me know

Thanks so much for the help

Stephane
