can anyone please help me i am trying to convert my VHS collection onto DVD using my canopus advc100, I have almost managed it by using the following
WINDV to capture
Tmpgenc plus to convert
Tmpgenc authour and create menu
RECORD NOW MAX 4.5 to burn the TS file
BUT the playback stutters when there is action on the screen, the media i us is fine with other burnings of movie backups on my standalone DVD player and i have tried the authoured disc in a few different players!!! somebody mentioned interlacing/de interlacing, what is meant by that

Does it stutter or does it flicker? Stuttering usually means there's a problem during the decoding stage. This usually means an incompatibility between the player and the disc. Try a different brand of discs.
If what you see is flickering during fast motion, the problem is probably a wrong field (interlacing) order. Encode the movie again and use the other order (ex., if you used "upper field first" use "lower", and vice-versa).
