hello there. i have the following problem.
i cant understand why for PAL 4:3 DVDs the standard size
is 720:576, i mean 720:576 isnt the correct aspect ratio,its not 4/3.
the correct on for 4/3 is 768:576 or 720:540.
i am making some animations videos for a DVD in macromedia Flash
and i dont know what aspect ratio to use.if i put 720x576 then in
Ulead DVD Workshop it stretches the video to fit the 4:3 ratio,
what should i do?
thanks

There is a description of the various aspect ratios in the FAQ (click). Your files should always be 720x576. If your software has an option to select the pixel aspect ratio, you should set that to "D1/DV PAL" or to "1.067". DVDs cannot use 768 pixels per line; only 720 or 704.
