Hi.

I have found that you cannot put paper labels on DVDs. They seem to interfer with the DVD player mechanism. ANd then, of course, with time -and certianly heat, they peel. Bif problems.

So I discovered printable surface disks. And I use these. Currently I use Maxell printable and have had only a few complaints. I can duplicate these at 2X, which is fine my DVD, methinks.

Are there better ones out there and if so, where do I get them?
(I work in Rome).

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks, D

You can use labels, but they have to be perfectly centered, or they will cause problems. Also, some labels make the disc overheat, which can cause problems with some players. I've found that the Lorenz-Bell glossy labels work pretty well, if they are well centered.

Anyway, printable discs are obviously easier to use (and not much more expensive). Maxell is usually one of the top brands in compatiblity tests, so I doubt you can get much better. If some player doesn't like Maxell, try Pioneer or TDK, but overall I'd stick to Maxell.

Verbatim.
Or Maxell.

I would not use anything else at all.

But I would definitely argue against labels.
Never, never, never.
