Okay, I exported my premiere 6.0 file using Premiere Video Server and TMPGEnc and it seemed to work fine. I played it back in Windows Media Player and it looked great- but when I tried to import it into Roxio DVD Builder, it said it would not recognize the file. I changed the file extension to everything it listed, but it refused to recognize it. I am not sure what could have happened. Has this happened to anyone before and do you know why?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Michelle

Please post the settings you used in TMPGEnc, namely:

  • Stream type
  • Resolution
  • Frame Rate

The main settings are fine, then. Roxio should load the file (if it is expecting a MPEG-2 video file). In TMPGEnc try enabling the option to close all GOPs, some programs don't like open GOPs. Also, make sure you have the GOP header interval set to 1, and make sure the output is set to "interlaced".

What did you set the stream type (in TMPGEnc's main window) to? Do you have any other DVD authoring programs (demo versions, even)? Do they load the file correctly, or do you also get an error?
