Please - someone put me out of my misery here.
I have both Quicktime Pro 7.1.3 and TMPGEnc Xpress 3 for handling MOV files, yet neither one will actually do anything with any type of MOV file apart from play them.
I load the MOV into either encoder, it starts off, and there it sits - preparing output. 0% done, and will remain there indefinitely.
Why?
The exact same files encode from both apps on a differentsystem, so it must be a setting somewhere.
I cannot for the life of me work it out, and Apple want £35 to support their own new software as, apparently "Quicktime Pro PC has no complimentary support, even for brand-new purchases"
What am I overlooking? _________________ www.opusproductions.com

Have you tried the "magic IT solution" (i.e., uninstall QT and reinstall it)?
