I'have grabbed from the hard disk of my PAL Sat. Digital Receiver a movie. It's mpeg2, 544X576, VBR. I've transcoded it with TMPGENC using the wizard to 720X576 6000 CBR... The video seems to be good, but after compiling the DVD with Ifoedit 0.95 the video (not the audio) (I used Power DVD 4.0 and a set top Yamakawa 215) freezes for a second or two while is plaing, especially where the immage change. The audio is well syncronized and the problem diappears on a set top Pioneer 715.
What could be wrong?
Thankyou to all! |

I suspect the problem is in the authoring / compilation stage. The DVD is not necessarily wrong, but some players are very picky about the DVD structure, and PowerDVD sometimes has problems too.
Try playing the MPEG-2 created by TMPGEnc in Power DVD. If this file plays correctly, then you know the problem is being caused by the authoring (in which case I suggest trying a different authoring program).

Well after my first post I've made several attempts... and I think you were right. Ive tryied to compile my DVD with Spruce and I got the same prob. After I tryied with TMPGEnc DVD Author and the prob. seems to be solved. Anyway I've to do some more checks. The movie encoded with TMPGEnc plays correctly before compiling the DVD. |
