After using the Bit Rate calculator to figure a 120 minute video and following all the settings I notice that the size of the picture is 352 X 240. Is this correct? That looks more like a Mpeg 1 size video frame. Roughly half of D1 quality which will not work on TV.
I produce shows for Commercial Leased Access stations here and they require MPG2 for transfer into an Avid system. Everything I do in DV video is 720 X 480. |

The calculator only gives you values for bitrate and GOP structure. The image size shown by TMPGEnc comes either fom the last template you loaded or from the last movie you loaded. Simply delete them and type in the size you want to use (720x480).

DVDit PE won't take the file that TMpeg created. I had to use ES for the encode. That created a .mv2 extension. In the past I was able to use the Video/Audio System selection but that won't work now. Just ES.
I'm on deadline with this project so I'm exporting the movie as Mpeg IPB through Matrox. To save time I set the bit rate at 3 CBR. The footage was not very good so low resolution won't be a problem. |

If the elementary stream (video-only) works and the system stream (video + audio) doesn't, then the problem is either in the audio settings on in the way audio and video are being multiplexed (go to the "System" tab and make sure the stream type is "MPEG-2 Program").
