My 1394 dv capture card gets installed by windows xp as a network card with file and printer sharing and so on. I've selected 'disable' but is this enough? The card is only used for dv capture, I haven't got a clue about network stuff at all, but I'd like to avoid any conflicts. Is there a way to completely unintall this as a network card just leaving it as a dv capture card?
Many thanks. |

Disabling it should be enough; I think it prevents the driver from being loaded at all. Either way, as long as you don't connect the DV cable to another computer, it won't be used as a network interface.
